Tips for Using Your New iPad!
So you’ve ordered a brand new iPad and it has finally arrived at your door?
Un-wrapping this new toy is exciting and you will probably want to use it right away. The iPad is quite user friendly and simple to figure out, but there are a few things that you should know before you get started. Here are some tips for using the iPad which will be very helpful:
How to Do a Soft Reset
If you are using your iPad and all of a sudden the screen freezes, don’t panic. There is a very easy way to fix this and it is by using the “soft reset”. All you need to do is simply hold down the power button on the top and the “home” button on the bottom front for a few seconds. This will cause your iPad to restart. You can also force quit when using any application by holding the home button for a few seconds.
How to Type Letters with Accents
What if you are you writing a word in another language and you want to include a little A or E which has an accent above it? It is simple to do this on the iPad keyboard. All you have to do is press and hold down a vowel and a popover will come up with accented versions of that letter. You can also hold down the dollar sign to get options for different currencies.
Webpage Scrolling
What happens when you have read the entirely of a blog or a news article and you want to go back to the top of the page. You don’t have to spend ages dragging your finger across the screen to get back where you started as there is a lot faster way. You simply need to give the title bar a quick tap and you will be instantly transported back to the top of the page.
How to Close Background Apps
Whenever you start up an app on your new iPad and then close it, it will continue quietly running in the background of your device in case you need it again. This can be handy for when you start it up again, but it can also eat up a lot of your memory and drain your battery, especially for GPS and VoIP apps.
The iPad will usually close down all apps in the background automatically if they are using up too much memory. However, sometimes if you are doing a lot of different things with your iPad you will want to close down some apps manually.
If you would like to close the apps in the background you can force them to quit by double-tapping the Home button so that you bring up the multitasking bar. Then, you can simply press and hold on any of the apps until they all start jiggling around. You will see a red circle with a dash inside it on the top left corner of all of the app icons.
Finding and Launching Apps
If you have lot of different Apps on your iPad, you might find it difficult to locate a certain one that you want to use. Instead of searching through your multiple home screens you can use the Spotlight search tool to find them. To use this feature, start on the home screen and then tap the home button again or swipe the screen to bring up the Spotlight search feature. Simply start typing in the first few letters in the name of your app and it will search the iPad and bring it up on the screen for you so that you can click to launch it.

Hi,
This is true we can do more with the iPad ! I rent an iPad in Paris to visit the city ! It was very useful I could calculate tips, read some books and visit Paris with a really simplicity ! it was good !
