How To Jailbreak your iPad 2 and iPad 1 on iOS 4.3.3 Using JailbreakMe [Step-by-Step Guide]
If you’re looking for easy steps to jailbreak iPad 2 then you’re at the right place. Well here’s the step-by-step guide on how to jailbreak your iPad 2 and iPad 1 on iOS 4.3.3 using JailbreakMe 3.0.
You don’t need to connect iPad to PC, thanks to the JailbreakMe, but you’ll have to install iOS 4.3.3 for the jailbreak to perform. If you already have iOS 4.3.3 installed on your iPad, the simply you can skip the first five steps of this tutorial.
Step One
First you need to create a Pwnage folder somewhere on the desktop and place the iOS 4.3.3 ipsw in it.
Download the ipsw file for your iPad from the following links:
- 4.3.3 (iPad 1): iPad1,1_4.3.3_8J3_Restore.ipsw
- 4.3.3 (iPad 2 Wi-Fi): iPad2,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw
- 4.3.3 (iPad 2 GSM): iPad2,2_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw
- 4.3.3 (iPad 2 CDMA): iPad2,3_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw
Step Two
Connect your iPad 2 / iPad to the computer and start iTunes.
Step Three
Select your iPad from the list of devices on the left.
Step Four
Just Hold down the Shift (for Windows) or Option( for Mac) key and click the Restore button on the screen.
Step Five
Click the “iOS 4.3.3 ipsw” from the Pwnage folder on your desktop and click Open.
Step Six
Once you’ve loaded iOS 4.3.3 on your iPad, then just launch Safari from your iPad.
Step Seven
Head over to http://www.jailbreakme.com and press the “Free” button on the left.
Step Eight
Press the Install button.
Step Nine
Then Safari will close and Cydia will download and install.
Step Ten
Press to launch Cydia, now you have jailbroken your iPad. Enjoy lots of third party apps…
